Patella + Gross worked closely with the Cingari family, founders, owners and operators of the largest number of ShopRite Supermarkets in Connecticut to create a premium in-store brand and prepared food experience under the family name. The new iconography, logotype and product packaging all celebrate a century of one family’s love for quality food at a reasonable price —  and the joy of American family time and togetherness. From its 1929 roots in Stamford Connecticut, Cingari has grown to more than a dozen outlets with further growth coming in the rapidly consolidating supermarket business. We created an integrated digital brand and photographic and video campaign that celebrates the family's legacy by focusing on new products (Marinara sauce, imported olive oil, coffee and condiments) as well as the ongoing involvement of key family members as butchers, bakers and food entrepreneurs in the stores. At Cingari Family Markets, truly, “Food is Family."
